Note: The domain “Systems Thinking and Design/Human Factors” is now integrated across the other four domains rather than being tested as a standalone section
The Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) exam consists of:
- 120 multiple-choice questions
- 100 scored questions
- 20 unscored pretest questions (used for future exam development)
Candidates are given 2 hours to complete the exam.
There are over 350 CPPS practice questions on this website, tagged as follows:
- Domain – six (to give you the chance to focus on core areas including HRO)
- Difficulty Level – three (Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced)
- Visual Aid - questions with graphs, tables and figures
- Time and Untimed - For timed questions, you have 1 minute per question. You can mark a question and return to it later. The answer with rationales with display when click submit.
For untimed questions, the answer and rationale will appear when you choose an option and click submit.
