The Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) exam consists of:

• 140 questions
• 125 scored questions
• 15 unscored pretest questions (used for future exam development and not identified to candidates)

Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) Exam

The exam content is distributed across four domains

• Culture
• Leadership
• Patient Safety Risks and Solutions
• Measuring and Improving Performance

The domain “Systems Thinking and Design/Human Factors” is now integrated across the other four domains rather than being tested as a standalone section.

The Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) exam consists of:

• 120 multiple-choice questions total
• 100 scored questions
• 20 unscored pretest questions (used for future exam development)

Candidates are given 2 hours to complete the exam

Project Management Professional (PMP) Exam

As of the current PMP Exam Content Outline (ECO), the exam is structured around three domains, not the traditional 10 knowledge areas

• Process
• Business Environment

The Project Management Professional (PMP) exam consists of:

• 180 questions
• 175 scored questions
• 5 unscored pretest questions (used for future exam validation, not identified to the candidate)

While the exam is no longer organized by the 10 PMBOK® Guide knowledge areas, they are still heavily embedded in the exam content.
